Sometimes, when you're ready to go outside
to play, you just don't have enough time to put on pants.
Trying hard to look cute while looking
utterly ridiculous.
Eating a burger is absolutely exhausting.
Real cowgirls wear Crocs.
Mommy begged until Mackenzie relented and rode the giant slide with
her.
All geared up for a day at the pool.
Is there any other word to describe this
besides, "smug?"
As mommy slowly gains ground, Delaney begins
to panic.
Mackenzie is happy to splash around in
the pool at the bottom of the slide.
But Delaney isn't into that sissy stuff.
If you look closely, you can see her face
in the wall of water.
Would you be surprised to know that Emily
often wears her sunglasses on her head?
Delaney hates the paparazzi.
Can you ever really be TOO cool?
The girls help daddy blow out his candle
on his "cake."
At Discovery School for Open House night.
The veteran Mackenzie shows Delaney the
ropes. Delaney doesn't want to see ropes. She prefers markers.
At school, you can have lots of fun...
...but you also learn lots of things to
make you smart.
While Mackenzie practices before the soccer
game...
...Delaney warms up the crowd.
She actually looks like she can play. Looks
can be a little deceiving.
Now, THAT'S an intimidating group.
Two teammates waiting for their next shift.
Waiting for the glow at the Centralia Balloon
Fest.
Brooks, Delaney and Mackenzie watching
one get ready to go up.
Kenz is always ready to flash a smile for
the camera.
Delaney, however...
"Rock on, punks."
The whole gang assemble for Nana's birthday.
Delaney dressed appropriately in her Cardinals
gear for Karter's baseball-themed birthday party.
Mackenzie, however...not so much.
The kid equivalent of a dog sticking its
head out of a moving car window.
Everyone thought it was funny that a wave
got us all wet. Daddy (off camera) didn't find the humor.
Again, Mackenzie loves posing for the camera.
And Delaney just likes doing everything
her sister does.
Ever the social butterfly, Mackenzie likes
to wave at strangers on other boats. 500 yards away.
After a long day on the boat, everyone
is starting to get a little sleepy.
I know two people that are ready for a
ride in the golf cart.
Who looks sillier? Delaney in her helmet
or Emily riding a pink scooter? It's a toss-up.
Delaney finally wrestles the scooter away
from mommy so she can ride it by herself.
As close as you can get to looking good
in a bike helmet.
Another tiring weekend at the lake comes
to an end. I'm sure some are more tired than others.
