Can I just say it now? There is nothing better than playoff baseball in St. Louis. There just isn't. I was at Game 1 of the NLCS tonight and it was almost like the outcome of the game was never really in doubt. Even when the Cards were behind, they were calm and never tried to do too much. They just waited...knowing that their inning would eventually come.

It eventually did in the 6th, and the Cardinals just crushed Chad Qualls. I think he cried on the mound, but I can't prove that.

Anyway....good times tonight. Cards are up 1-0 and Matt Morris pitches tomorrow night against some poor sacrificial lamb that Houston is putting on the mound. Poor guy.

Oh...I also saw a woman with a Tom Herr jersey tonight. I have to have one.
