As you can probably quickly see, I have redesigned our family web site as an experiment. The experiment worked because you are seeing the results. I always designed layouts using tables to place things on the pages just like I wanted them, but now, there is a gigantic snowball rolling towards a new-ish way of designing using stylesheets for layout which stays separate from the content. The result is what you see here. Get all that? Don't care about it? Fine.
The new stuff...
1. I now have a web log. I've actually had it for a while, but it is only now being released into the wild. While my Daddy's diary was kind of a web log for a while, I am folding that into a much larger format where I can write about more things. You'll always see the latest stuff that I have written about displayed on the home page so check back often.
2. Mackenzie has lost her own section, and is being forced to share a section with her new sister. While the new baby isn't here yet obviously, we didn't think it was too early to start letting Mackenzie feel what it was like to get the short end of the stick because of the newer model that's coming. Also, the expected days to wait until the arrival is back on the home page.
3. Giant rotating random picture on home page - Why? Because she's cute. That's why.
4. Nearly all of the old pictures are gone. I just haven't gotten time to convert them all to this new design. Sue me.
I hope everyone enjoys what I have here as much as I enjoyed putting it together. If you have any nice comments, let us know. If you have complaints, you can send an e-mail to brick_wall@overthere.com.
